Mr. Adell is a tenured leader in technology and a visionary known for his innovative contributions to medical devices. As the chief executive officer of Cognos Therapeutics Inc., a position he has held since 2015, the company has significantly progressed in developing advanced therapeutic solutions as a medical technology company specializing in implantable pump devices for neurological and oncological indications.

In 2006, Mr. Adell co-founded Pharmaco-Kinesis Corporation, which became known as a high-technology medical device company that ultimately created four spins off with all spin off technologies centered around utilizing an innovation technology platform to provide better cure solutions for patients to address some of most complex human diseases which current science and medical understanding have not been able to provide a better or viable cure modality. Among these terminal and choric diseases are cerebral fluid and brain cancers Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LC), Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), Pancreatic cancer and neurodegenerative disease, such as Alzheimer's. These spin off companies include Cognos Therapeutics, Sensor-Kinesis corporation and Neuro-Kinesis corporation.

Mr. Adell's expertise in technology and visionary approach have earned him numerous accomplishments. Believing that formidable hi-tech companies first-tier strength should be their technology and to protect that technology, Mr. Adell ensures that Cognos will hold an ironclad patent portfolio and to date Cognos has filed fifty seven patents (57) from which thirty three (33) patents have been issued by the US Patent and Trade office and internationally. Among Mr. Adell's most notable achievements was the development of a smart implanted pump by the Cognos technical and engineering team with applications in treatment of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzhiemers. Among the game changing technology that Cognos is working on is Neuro Micro dialysis on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The technology paves the way for the first promising potential viable solution for Alzheimer patient treatments. The technology has raised the interest of Dr. Rudy Tanzi at Harvard and efforts are underway between Tanzi's Lab and Cognos to enter a joint collaborative first-in-man human clinical trials to start the proof of concept.

Before launching Cognos, Mr. Adell co-founded Senor-Kinesis Corporation (SKC), one of spin off from Pharmaco-Kinesis, located in Inglewood, California, which was funded by Tako Venture Capital between 2016 and 2020. Tako Venture Capital is a biotech company owned by Larry Ellison. In 2020, Larry Ellison and his management team became majority shareholders and fully funded the company. That same year, SKC was renamed Autonomous Medical Devices Incorporated - www.amdilabs.com.

From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Adell co-founded and served as the executive vice president and board member of Magnetcs Corporation in Inglewood, where he played a crucial role in the company's growth and innovation, designing and manufacturing the robotic Catheter Guidance Control and Imaging (CGCI) system for minimally invasive medical procedures for patients with arrhythmia in field of electrophysiology. Mr. Adell was instrumental in bringing St. Medical to invest in the seed round where St. Jude Medical became the largest investor. In 2017, Abbatt acquired St. Jude Medical, Inc., and today Abbat holds fifteen percent (15%) ownership of Magnetecs. Earlier in his career, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Newzaust Consulting Inc. in Irvine, California, from 1985 to 2000. Newzaust was involved in identifying and introducing innovative, game-changing technologies from around the world to Fortune 500 companies for potential acquisition. Adell began his professional and entrepreneurial journey with Bechtel Corporation in 1980, as a shield and design and shield engineer, where he was in charge of the design layout of the plant for San Onofre Nuclear Power Plants Unit 2&3 in San Clemente California, a Bechtel Management Consulting construction company based out of San Francisco.

In 2008, Mr. Adell completed a Professional Programming Challenges in Leadership in Team from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Adell has received several prestigious awards, including the Congressional Order of Merit in 2007 and the Congressional Medal of Distinction from President George W. Bush at the President's Dinner in Washington, D.C., in 2008. He also received a letter of recognition for technology from the White House and the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Adell attributes his success to his passion for his field and desire to positively impact society.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Adell received a Bachelor of Science with emphasis in nuclear engineering from the University of Washington in 1980. He also holds an advanced A-level degree from Walsall College of Technology in England.
