Known for his versatility, he serves as Sales Executive, Field CTO, former Director of the Data Protection Practice at vCORE, Sales Engineering Leader, and a master communicator who makes complex concepts easily understandable. His reputation as a gifted presenter is well-earned, and he is integral to a sales engine consistently ranked as the second most profitable in the company, delivering AHEAD's offerings in impactful ways that drive measurable results.
From 2018 to 2020, Mr. Keane was recruited to vCORE to build out their Data Protection Practice. Additionally, as part of that Business Development role, he helped revamp the company's go-to-market values, reaffirming the vision, mission statement, and narrative that articulate the company's portfolio and strategy to customers.
Mr. Keane enjoyed an extensive tenure at Dell EMC between 2005 and 2018. He initially served as a Senior Advisory Technical Consultant, specializing in Data Protection for strategic global accounts in the West. He later transitioned to a Software Sales Manager, leading EMC Data Protection Software sales within enterprise accounts, eventually focusing on healthcare, supporting CommonSpirit as part of the national team.
Mr. Keane's career began at Hope International University (HIU) as a Technical Support Engineer from 1996 to 1999 while studying Psychology. In preparation for his future, Mr. Keane earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from HIU in California in 2000, where he played soccer on a scholarship from Jamaica, his home. Post-college, he joined MTI as a Legato Networker Support Engineer until 2005 before progressing into his roles at EMC. His decision to stay in technology post graduation allowed him to leverage his psychology background in his sales interactions effectively. As he likes to say, "Behind every broken system is a real person".
Throughout his career, Mr. Keane has received numerous accolades from Dell EMC for his contributions, including multiple EMC Platinum Player Awards, recognition as Top Specialty Sales SE Worldwide at EMC globally in 2015, and being named among the Top 10 Pre-Sales Specialty Groups at EMC in 2016 before moving into sales roles.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Keane is actively involved in various civic-minded organizations. He participates in church ministries and supports many local churches and nonprofit organizations. He dedicates most of his time to The Finding Courage Project, an organization he founded to provide resources for parents and children dealing with the emotions of estranged relationships. His commitment to community service is a reflection of his heart and dedication to making a positive impact beyond his professional endeavors.
