Ms. Vogelsang is a distinguished finance professional with over three decades of experience in her field. Currently serving as the corporate regional finance director at Six Flags, she has worked for the company for more than 10 years starting as VP of Finance at Knott's Berry Farm in 2013. In her current role, she oversees the financial operations of both Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park and California's Great America in Santa Clara.
Ms. Vogelsang's professional journey started at Parker Automotive, a small American company in Germany that sponsored her for residence. This opportunity led to her long tenure at 20th Century Fox HE International, where she held various roles from 1991 to 2012. She began as a controller for 20th Century Fox HE Germany before advancing to finance manager, director, executive director and finally vice president of finance. In 2012, she worked as an independent consultant before joining Knott's Berry Farm as vice president of finance in 2013.
Ms. Vogelsang's academic career includes an Associate of Arts from Walla Walla Community College in Washington State. She then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Business Administration in international business from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany.
Ms. Vogelsang is also recognized for her contributions outside her primary roles. She has participated in Women's History Month activities at Knott's Berry Farm as well as serving on the Finance/IT Committee for the International Association of Amusement Attractions. Additionally, she serves on the board and as finance chair for the Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club in San Pedro, CA.
Reflecting on her career, Ms. Vogelsang attributes her success to having great mentors from her early days working for her father through to today. She believes in persevering through challenges and stepping out of her comfort zone to achieve growth. Her time working at Knott's Berry Farm remains one of her proudest moments due to the enjoyment and fulfillment it brought her.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Vogelsang enjoys sailing, shooting archery, traveling and spending time with her family. Looking toward the future, she anticipates continuing her involvement in the growth plans for Six Flags parks. Additionally, she aims to take on a broader role within the company to contribute to a legacy project while mastering her sailing skills.
