Prior to this, she held the position of vice president of market development at Integrated Home Care Services Inc. from 2019 to 2021. She began her career at Geisinger in 2001, moving through various positions throughout a long tenure, including director of strategic partnerships, director of surgery operations, manager of graduate medical education, supervisor within the revenue cycle and other operational roles.
Dr. Yohey's academic achievements have been instrumental in her professional success. She earned a doctorate in health care administration with a specialization in quality and health care analytics from Capella University in 2021. She also holds a Master of Health Sciences in health care administration from Saint Francis University, obtained in 2013, and a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Misericordia University, completed in 2011. Additionally, she is certified as a commissioned notary public by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University, achieved in 2017.
Throughout her career, Dr. Yohey has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and America's Health Insurance Plans. Reflecting on her accomplishments, she attributes her success to the invaluable guidance of her mentors, colleagues, educators and the unwavering support of her husband. Her journey into health care was driven by personal experiences, such as financial challenges after high school and caring for her younger brother who had numerous health issues which required frequent travel to Philadelphia.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Yohey enjoys scuba diving and spending time outdoors with her husband. She also devotes a significant amount of time to civic work, volunteering at local animal shelters and for local community and faith-based organizations.
