Mr. Ryckman is an esteemed business owner who specializes in environmental remediation engineering. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Remtech Engineers, a firm he established in Marietta, Georgia, in 1988. For more than 35 years, he has dedicated his career to advancing environmental remediation projects and mentoring others.

Mr. Ryckman's expertise has been instrumental in positioning Remtech Engineers as a leader in the industry. He prioritizes the well-being of his staff and clients and encourages a mindset where every employee treats their work as if it directly impacts them. Since its inception, the organization has completed over 10,000 projects, solving some of the most complex environmental problems throughout the United States. Among many services, Remtech specializes in environmental remediation, emergency response, industrial maintenance, mobile treatment, landfill services, vacuum truck services, hazard/safety compliance, and environmental assessments.

Before founding Remtech Engineers, Mr. Ryckman served as executive vice president at D.W. Ryckman & Associates, an environmental firm where he began gaining experience at age 16. This early exposure to the field and his academic background laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors. After completing his education, Mr. Ryckman returned to work with his father (Dr. D. W. Ryckman, who established one of the first accredited environmental engineering programs at Washington University), and together, they established REACT before launching Remtech Engineers.

Throughout his career, Mr. Ryckman has achieved significant milestones. He pioneered one of the first agricultural chemical soil and fire runoff cleanups in the 1980s, which impacted the insurance industry spill prevention requirements, and established his company as a sought-after specialist nationwide. He also invented HC-2000(HC2), a bioremediation accelerator that has provided cost-effective solutions for over 400 contaminated soil, groundwater, railroad ballast, and substation soil remediation projects for over 15 years. He also developed a patent-pending magnetic aeration system called FRACAIR that employs 80-pound anchoring magnets for 21,000-gallon frac tanks to create mobile wastewater treatment systems.

Mr. Ryckman's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from DePauw University in 1973, a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Clemson University in 1974, and a Master of Science in environmental systems engineering from Clemson University in 1975. He is a registered professional engineer in six states and a board- certified environmental engineer specializing in water, wastewater, hazardous waste management and environmental remediation through the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists.

In addition to his education, Mr. Ryckman has remained relevant in his field through membership with several industry-related organizations, including the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists, American Water Works Association, and Water Environment Federation. He has been a guest speaker on Environmental Remediation at Clemson, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Purdue University. He has authored numerous publications on environmental remediation in Civil Engineering Magazine, The American Water Works Journal, Transportation Research Board Record, American Chemical Society, and the Journal of Environmental Engineering. His remediation expertise includes mercury, petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons, pesticides, herbicides, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, PFOS, explosives, combustible dusts, renewable natural gas production from landfill gases and dairy manure, and mobile groundwater and wastewater treatment systems.

In recognition of his contributions to the field, Mr. Ryckman has received accolades, such as being named one of the Outstanding Young Men of America and being listed in Who's Who in Environmental Engineering. His success can be attributed to the training he received from top professionals and the connections his father facilitated with leading figures in the industry.
