Ms. Laughter's education includes a dual Bachelor of Arts in sociology and religious studies in 2020 and a Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2022. Her academic achievements have been complemented by several certifications and the completion of the social and behavioral responsible conduct of research course through the CITI Program.
Ms. Laughter is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, the Tennessee Speech and Debate Society, The University of Tennessee Knoxville Professional Education Course Advisory Board, and the Blount County Young Professionals Association. Her extracurricular involvement extends to civic-minded organizations, such as the Women's Coordinating Council, and volunteering with Bridge Refugee Services. Additionally, Ms. Laughter has contributed her expertise by authoring research on cultural competency and educational methods in study abroad since 2019 and as a co-contributor to Clayton Voice of the Customer since 2022.
