After her last mission with the World Food Program in Rome, where she developed a manual for surface transport management, she transitioned into entrepreneurship by founding Handmark LLC and working as a consultant for various enterprises. A strong educational background characterizes Ms. Kebbede's professional success in nonprofit, public and organizational management. She earned a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School in 1982. She also holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology from Washington State University, which she obtained in 1972.
