In addition to her work in holistic health consulting, she conducts regular research studies on an ongoing basis in integrative health, device development, and alternative health areas of specialty. Dr. Connor has taught classes for a number of colleges and universities, including Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the University of Arizona, and Akamai University, and she regularly mentors dissertation candidates at other universities, such as the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Holos University Graduate Seminary.
Over the years, Dr. Connor's training included work with Cedar-Sainai Hospital System under Dr. Roxy Szeftel and Shasta Community Health Care under Dr. Patty Sand and Dr. Lynn Pappas. Primarily mentored during her post-doctoral fellowship by Dr. Gary Schwartz at the University of Arizona Laboratory for Consciousness and Health and additionally by Dr. Rustum and Dr. Della Roy, chair and professor at the Penn State Department of Materials Science, her training included such leaders in the integrative health world as Dr. Iris Bell, her director of research at the Program in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona, Dr. Andrew Weil, chair of the Program in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona, and Dr. Nancy Jones, chair of the department of Psychology at California Coast University and leader in the ecological psychology movement.
Before her work in health care, Dr. Connor was involved in the computer field as a senior software engineer for companies like Online Business Systems, Affiliated Computer Systems, Metaphor Computer, and IBM. She was a High Category Award winner at Santa Theresa Labs in California.
An expert in her field, Dr. Connor holds an Associate of Arts from Harvard University Extension, a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco, Strategic Intelligence from American Military University, and a seminary degree in religion. Her doctoral work at California Coast University in Clinical Psychology allowed her to develop a telemedicine treatment program for developmentally delayed children ages 3-11 who are challenged by Autism, Autistic Spectrum disorders, Fragile X, and Downs Syndrome. Further, as an author of ten books on energy practices and biofield healing, she has many articles in peer-reviewed journals including: International Journal of Research Studies in Medical and Health Sciences, Explore, Journal of Medical and Clinical Studies, Biomedical Journal of Science and Research Technology, International Journal of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Internal Medicine Research Open Journal, Advances in Mind-Body Medicine, and Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine.
A member of several national and international organizations, including Society for Scientific Exploration, World Qigong Congress, National Alliance of Energy Practitioners, National Certification Center of Energy Practitioners, Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine, and Women in Technology. She has won awards from groups such as the California State Legislative Assembly, World Qigong Congress, World Multi-Conference on Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, IBM, Metaphor Computer, Goodwill of Santa Clara County, CEO Today magazine, Finance Monthly magazine, and International Association of Top Professionals. In addition to her current work in health care, Dr. Connor believes one of the greatest gifts in her life is her daughter, Dr. Caitlin Connor, DAOM, PGDip, AMP, EHP-C, and her many friends and associates. In her spare time, Dr. Connor sings, performs in concerts, does theatre, has choreographed 22 ballets, and rides and raises horses.
