LOS ANGELES, CA, September 20, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sara Jensen has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
In 2021, Sara and her husband, Ben, co-founded Hugh & Grace, the leading lifestyle wellness brand promoting hormone health with high-performance, hormone supportive skin, health, and home care products for every body. As Co-CEO, Sara plays a pivotal role in the company's growth, overseeing product development, fostering retail and brand partnerships, delivering world-class content, and creating authentic community.
Sara's commitment to her work is deeply rooted in personal challenges. She and Ben experienced 14 years of unexplained infertility before having two children with the help of two of their incredible sisters who volunteered as gestational surrogates. Throughout their fertility struggle, they became acutely aware of the significant impact hormone disruption can have on physical, mental, and sexual health. Despite being young, physically fit, eating a healthy diet, and making extreme lifestyle changes in hopes of conceiving, they were unsuccessful. It was during their sixth round of IVF when they asked their fertility doctor what else they could do to have a better chance at conceiving, when they learned that chemicals in everyday skin, health, and home care products are absorbed through their skin and lungs and could impact their hormones. The average American woman uses 12 products daily, unknowingly exposing herself to over 160 unique chemicals, while men are exposed to over 80 chemicals daily, not to mention the hundreds more present in the environment.
After having their children, Sara and Ben felt a deep responsibility to pay forward the generosity they had received. They left successful careers to found Hugh & Grace, named after their miracle children. The name Hugh means heart, mind, and spirit, and Grace means goodness, generosity, and love. These values are at the core of Hugh & Grace, the leading lifestyle wellness brand offering high-performance, hormone-supportive skin, health, and home care products for every body. The company has been recognized as a Top Mission Company and was also named one of California's fastestgrowing companies in 2024. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world's leading health education platform, has a Hugh & Grace scholarship for their hormone health certification course.
Prior to founding Hugh & Grace, Sara built her career as a social entrepreneur, cultivating relationships with some of the world's most influential executives and thought leaders, where she raised tens of millions of dollars in donations for nonprofits and higher education. During her last role at USC, Sara spearheaded the university's maternity leave policy change, updating the policy to allow adoptive and surrogate parents to receive the same maternity benefits as traditional birth mothers. As the largest private employer in Los Angeles, USC's policy change set a precedent, and Sara collaborated with several other large companies to help implement similar policy changes.
Her academic background includes an MBA in International Business and Entrepreneurship from USC's Marshall School of Business in 2010. While at USC, she was elected class president and served as a graduate professional student senator.
She attributes her success to grit, hard work, and surrounding herself with incredible people who are passionate about making positive impact in the world.
In addition to her professional roles, Sara is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. She served on boards of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Malibu Chapter, Jonathan Club, and Griffin Club. Hugh & Grace has also been featured at many non-profit events, including BCRF, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, LupusLA, Gift of Life, Chrysalis, Raise A Child, Best Buddies, and several more notable organizations that have connections to hormone health.
Outside of her career, Sara enjoys traveling, great food and wine, and spending quality time with family and friends. Looking to the future, Sara and Ben plan to expand Hugh & Grace globally while continuing to develop world-class products, content and community.
Sara's journey is defined by resilience, grit, and determination—qualities that have driven her success both personally and professionally. Her dedication to promoting hormone health solutions, content, and community through Hugh & Grace continues to have a significant impact.
