As the founder and chief executive officer of Cresthill Holdings LLC, she has dedicated over 15 years to shaping the vision and mission of her organization, which focuses on working with children ages zero to six years old at six locations in northeast New Jersey. Her responsibilities include managing strategy and overall operations, ensuring that daily activities align with the organization's goals.
Ms. Dorando's career began as a development intern at Eduventures in Boston in 2007. She quickly advanced to an associate role within the same company, where she worked until 2008. Following this, she served as vice president of sales and marketing at C&M Investment Group for the following year. In 2010, she founded Cresthill Academy where her leadership has been instrumental in creating over 100 full-time positions for her employees.
Ms. Dorando's academic background includes a Master of Education in International Education Policy from Harvard University's Graduate School of Education, obtained in 2007, and a dual Bachelor of Science in Policy and Management and International Relations from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 2006. Her certifications include an ITERS certification and a certification in CPR and first aid in infants, toddlers and adults.
In recognition of her dedication to her profession, Ms. Dorando was honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2022 by the New Jersey Chinese American Chamber of Commerce. She is also actively involved in industry-related organizations, serving as a trustee on the board of Preschool Advantage from 2015-2020.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Dorando enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, reading, cooking and baking for her family and friends and contributing her expertise in a civic capacity by serving as a board member and consultant to other educational entities, volunteering with the Liberty Humane Society and ACE NextGen. Looking ahead, she aims to continue growing her organization and strives to be at the forefront of education and innovation.
