With over a decade of experience in her profession, she has dedicated herself to hiring, networking, problem-solving for families, and rural community outreach.
Mrs. Fields's journey into home care began through the Nebraska Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver program. Amber, along with many of her staff members, were already providing services as independent personal caregivers. However, when other home companies and nursing residences closed in her area and no other large agency stepped in to fill the need in her community, she took the initiative to form her own business. Amber's goal was to form an agency that provided structured and quality care to all members of the community who were in need, while also providing caregivers with employment opportunities which gave fair compensation, benefits, and flexible schedules. Thus, Safe At Home Sidney, Inc. was formed, and three years later she still continues to make a significant impact by providing essential services to the community. Her expertise in empathy and understanding people's needs has been instrumental in her success.

As recently shown through the launch of Safe At Home's new Be The Change program that donates to various nonprofits every quarter or through her listing as a 2.1.1 service which offers secondhand free medical supplies to in-need community members.
An active player in her professional community, Mrs. Fields has included membership for Safe At Home in 3 county Chambers of Commerce, the Home Care Association of America, NE Panhandle Partnership, Rotary Clubs, Network Healthcare Alliance, and more. Her involvement with these organizations underscores her commitment to professional excellence and community service. Additionally, she partners with a variety of local organizations for sponsorships and donations, such as rural Nebraska schools, A Night of Hope Walk for Cancer, local heritage festivals and fairs, Keep Sidney Beautiful, Plainswest CASA, and many other nonprofits that she connects with while networking.
Mrs. Fields graduated from Sidney High School and is licensed as a certified nursing assistant. She attributes her success to her strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to the well-being of her employees, many of whom she considers family. Outside of her professional life, Amber is a devoted mother to 6, with 2 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, camping, and collecting antique furniture.
Looking ahead for Safe At Home, she envisions expanding the company throughout the entirety of Nebraska and into underserved communities near Colorado and Wyoming that also are in desperate need of care services.
