Ms. Condon began her career at Goddard Child Care Center, owned and operated by Good Samaritan Medical Center, where she held various roles from 1990 to 2009. She began as a Lead Toddler Teacher, a position she held for eight years before advancing to Assistant Director in 1998. In 2003, she was promoted to Administrator of Child Care Services, a role she fulfilled until 2009. While at Goddard Child Care Center, the President of Good Samaritan Medical Center mentored her about the importance of data collection, especially when presenting to doctors and boards about the significance of child care.
In 2010, Ms. Condon joined Boston Children's Hospital as the Director of the Child Care Center. Over the next decade, she played a pivotal role in expanding a small center of 45 children to two centers that accommodated 90 children each, from birth to 5 years old. Her responsibilities included managing budgets, staffing, licensing compliance, and leading a team of 74 staff members comprising of directors, educational coordinators and classroom educators. In 2021, she was promoted to Senior Director of Child Care Services. Additionally, since 2022, she has served as a facilitator at the Brazelton Touchpoints Center within Boston Children's Hospital.
Ms. Condon's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on mathematics from Bridgewater State University in 1989 (it was Bridgewater State College at the time). She completed coursework in human resource management from Stonehill College in 1992 and earned a Certificate in Early Education Leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2020. She is also a licensed facilitator through AchieveGlobal.
Throughout her career, Ms. Condon has been recognized for her outstanding leadership and dedication to early childhood education. She has received numerous awards, including a top rating on QRIS Quality Rating from the Department of Early Education and Care in 2014, Outstanding Leadership Award from the Education 2.0 Conference 2024 and Top Tier Director based on employee engagement surveys at Boston Children's Hospital 2010-2024.
Ms. Condon is an active member of the Massachusetts Business Coalition for Early Childhood Education. Her passion for providing children with a top-notch experience during their formative years drives her work. She ensures that children are respected, valued and provided for because it sets the foundation for their future lives.
Ms. Condon attributes her success to her passion for babies and determination to advocate for them. Her journey into child care began when there were no available Elementary level teaching positions in her area, prompting her to pursue the necessary coursework to become qualified as a Lead Teacher and Director in child care. This decision has led to a fulfilling career dedicated to improving Early Childhood Education and supporting families.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Condon enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. She is dedicated to supporting women in their careers by providing high-quality child care services that enable them to focus on their work without worrying about their children.
Looking ahead, Ms. Condon is hoping to open a third center for Boston Children's Hospital. Her current center was notably the first to have its license reinstated in Massachusetts after COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. She played a key role in developing COVID-19 regulations related to children's health, safety and social-emotional wellness and conducted numerous webinars and training sessions across Massachusetts.
