Julia Kindelsberger Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Software Development

Julia Kindelsberger channels years of expertise to her work with Oracle

With a wealth of professional experience, Ms. Kindelsberger thrives as Oracle's director of software development. Since assuming the role in May 2024, she has led numerous international development teams to deliver applications that significantly enhance developer productivity. Despite her demanding schedule, her passion for her work remains unwavering. In addition to spearheading the development of multiple systems, she conducts product demonstrations and stays abreast of the latest industry changes. Alongside her role at Oracle, Ms. Kindelsberger imparts her knowledge as a lecturer at Ferdinand Porsche FernFH, a University of Applied Sciences, teaching a course on frontend development.

Before joining Oracle as director of software development, Ms. Kindelsberger worked for the company as a consulting program manager, principal program manager, and senior technical staff member. During her tenure with Oracle, she leveraged her expertise to liaise with universities and partners in Europe and the United States. She also worked on software research projects in microservice frameworks, build tooling, and develop full-stack applications. She launched her start up Nativou, a guide-as-a-service platform, in 2017 with two college friends in Munich. Over the years, Ms. Kindelsberger gained valuable expertise in human-machine-interaction design, business management, research science, and more with Nativou, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Oracle, and SAP.

Ms. Kindelsberger's extensive knowledge has led her to author several publications, including those featured in the proceedings of the 12th International Joint Conference on Computer Vision, Imaging, and Computer Graphics Theory and Applications, and the proceedings of the 1st Green in Software Engineering Workshop. Her innovative thinking has also resulted in the acquisition of several patents for graph visualization tools.

An expert in her field, Ms. Kindelsberger holds a bachelor's degree in information systems from the Technical University of Munich. Through her studies, she completed a thesis on power demand recording of running mobile applications exemplified by applications for the Android operating system. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a master's degree in software engineering through her alma mater and completing her master's degree thesis in collaboration with the Center for Transportation and Logistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) supervised by Lex Fridman. The elite Software Engineering Master's program is supported by the Elite Network Bavaria and is geared towards the top 2 percent students in computer science.

Ms. Kindelsberger's professional achievements have been recognized with a German National Scholarship through IBM and Dr. Otto Majewski. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her work at MIT and Oracle, which includes successfully launching research projects as software products. Another significant project involved conducting a large study on human behavior, particularly on cars like Tesla at MIT. Her hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, and she credits her success to the guidance of her mentors, Lex Fridman, Hassan Chafi and Eric Sedlar and the support of her parents. Looking ahead, Ms. Kindelsberger is set to embark on another ambitious journey by enabling successes for her teams at Oracle or with the launch of another startup.
