Ms. Massey's career began with a series of roles that gave her a robust legal foundation. She served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ronald A. Silkworth (Ret.) at the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County in 2014. Following this, she gained valuable experience as a law clerk at Butler, McKeon & Associates, P.A.. She served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Silkworth before returning to Butler, McKeon & Associates, where she was promoted to associate attorney. In 2020, she joined Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A., as an associate attorney before founding SPM Law, LLC.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Massey is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. She has served as the general director of the executive board for the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C., and chaired the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the Baltimore County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland, the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Maryland Association for Justice, the Howard County Collaborative Professionals, and the Anne Arundel Collaborative Professionals Inc.
Ms. Massey's academic background includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence with a certificate in family law from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in business management marketing and related support services from the University of Baltimore and an Associate of Science in business management marketing and related support services from Prince George's Community College. Additionally, she earned a web certification from Anne Arundel Community College.
Her commitment to civic engagement is demonstrated through her involvement with various organizations. She has been associated with Christalis Inc. since 2007 and has volunteered as an attorney for the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland and the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. She also contributed as an expungement project intake volunteer for the Homeless Persons Representation Project Inc. and as a volunteer instructor for Adventist Community Services.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Massey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, practicing yoga, reading, exploring new restaurants, and hiking. She is dedicated to expanding her practice to serve more clients and aims to hire additional attorneys to manage her firm while she focuses on legal work.
