One of Ms. Stewart's most notable accomplishments was the transformation of the Houston office's workforce, which initially consisted of 90% Taiwanese. Through her efforts, the office now has a more diverse and inclusive environment, with around 60% Taiwanese staff and a management team that reflects diverse ethnic backgrounds.
In addition to her role at Yang Ming, Ms. Stewart has been the president of Renewed Home Solutions LLC in Houston since 2012. This real estate solutions company specializes in helping clients with excess proceeds cases and providing fast, seamless transactions. Ms. Stewart's entrepreneurial spirit extends to her role as a podcast host for True Talk Cafe, which she began in 2021. Her podcast discusses various aspects that impact professionals and entrepreneurs and covers mental health, personal branding, negotiations, retirement, talent acquisition, and more.
Before her current positions, Ms. Stewart gained valuable experience as a human resources generalist at Pentair Inc/Porous Media LLC from 2007 to 2009 and as an office administrator at Methanex Corporation between 2003 and 2007. Her career in human resources began as an HR specialist at GE Transportation in 1999.
Ms. Stewart's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Management with a specialization in human resources from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She serves on the executive board of Archway Academy and is the vice president of the Gulf Coast chapter of the Texas Diversity Council. She also contributes to the regional advisory board of NPower. Previously, Ms. Stewart was a presenter and volunteer at the Texas Diversity Council's Summer Youth Program, a collaborative initiative with Rice University.
