Backed by years of marketing and virtual merchandising expertise, Ms. Pittard excels as the president and founder of BP Consultant, through which she provides business consulting services for women and women of color. Previously, she honed her professional experience in retail management, marketing, public relations, visual merchandising, and entrepreneurship over the course of 20 years. Before establishing herself professionally, Ms. Pittard earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Tennessee in 1980.

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Ms. Pittard aligns herself with several industry organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Lawyer Association for Women, and the National Low Income Housing Coalition. Likewise, she is affiliated with the International African American Museum, the Smithsonian National African American Museum, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Management Association. In conjunction with her work, Ms. Pittard contributes to her community through children's and women's rights advocacy organizations, including World Vision Advocacy and UNICEF.

Throughout her career, Ms. Pittard has been recognized for excellence by being included on the Southern Poverty Law Center's Wall of Justice. Additionally, she received a Certificate of Appreciation through the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her philanthropic endeavors, specifically her recent involvement with Women for Women and Operation Smile, which repairs cleft palates.

Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Pittard credits her success to her mentors, including her parents, who encouraged her to remain humble and kind in her endeavors. Within the coming years, she intends to establish a foundation in honor of her late sister, which will be dedicated to providing Black women with a safe space in which to discuss mental health issues. Ultimately, Ms. Pittard aims to secure more resources for women in need.
