Mr. Hofherr's extensive experience also includes roles such as president, director of brand strategy (San Francisco and Los Angeles), and chief marketing officer (San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City) at Direct Partners from 2002 to 2004. He was managing partner, head of strategy and director of new business at TBWACHIATDAY from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, he served as managing partner, head of strategy and director of new business at AKQA from 1999 to 2000.
Mr. Hofherr's earlier career included positions as managing partner, planning director and director of new business at GGC from 1998 to 1999; lead account planner at FCB Global San Francisco from 1996 to 1998; managing partner and senior account planner at Gardner, Geary, Coll & Young from 1995 to 1996; account planner at BBDO Worldwide from 1993 to 1995; and floater at TBWACHIATDAY Los Angeles in 1992. Notably, he began his professional journey as an actor with the Screen Actors Guild Inc., appearing in the first season of "Law & Order" and playing Matt Damon's brother in the movie "School Ties."
Mr. Hofherr's academic background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which he earned in 1990. He further enhanced his expertise by completing the Senior Management Program at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in 2002. He attributes his success to his adeptness at being an engaged listener during client meetings and his genuine passion for his work, which is reflected by the fact that several agencies he has collaborated with have been named National Agency of the Year.
