In the following years, Mr. Schulz achieved considerable success with Schulz Transportation Services Incorporated, which he helped guide from September 2005 until May 2023. Schulz Transportation is a privately owned trucking company established in 1979 with a single truck and trailer. Today, the company manages nearly 70 trucks and serves the western two-thirds of the country and Florida. A man of many talents, Mr. Schulz worked as a dispatcher, assigning loads to drivers. Additionally, he analyzed annual income statements, was a mechanic and driver when needed, and trained new drivers on equipment use and company policies.
Backed by his considerable experience, Mr. Schulz established Schulz Logistics, a logistics and freight brokerage company, in 2016. He was responsible for starting up every facet of the company, including accounting, operational processes, phones, registrations, taxes, banking, and more. With his growing team, Mr. Schulz took the company from $332,000 in revenue in 2016 to over $46 million in 2023, when he was honored in the Transportation & Logistics Review.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Schulz aligns himself with several organizations, including the National Federation of Independent Business. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in the consistent growth of his business over the last eight years, even with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his rich field background and understanding of industry needs.
