Previously, as an undergraduate research assistant with the MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium, Mr. Kuffour created three models with increasing fidelity accounting for thermodynamic losses and control systems. Additionally, he gained valuable expertise as an undergraduate research assistant with the MIT Energy Initiative and as an instructor with Mathnasium LLC.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kuffour has been honored with various awards and has proven himself through various scientific competitions. In 2022, he created a 1 ft3 modular water filtration unit with a team of six and became a semi-finalist in the American Institute of Chemical Engineers' Chemical Engineering Cube Competition. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Kuffour credits his success to his faith and his family's unwavering support. Likewise, during his freshman year in college, he was mentored by Wendy Duan, who was associated with the MIT Energy Initiative. Under her tutelage, he learned valuable career insights and was afforded opportunities he would not have had otherwise. Without another mentor, Dr. Aprille Ericsson, who was associated with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, he would not be where he is today. Within the coming years, Mr. Kuffour intends to publish a book, establish a running podcast, and transition toward the educational sector through a community college or a high school.
