Kimberly Branham-Nelson has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Mrs. Branham-Nelson is the Chief Executive Officer of Nelson and Associates Insurance LLC, a company she founded in September of 2020. With a focus on providing affordable healthcare coverage across various industries, she has led her team to explore new offerings, such as International Medical Travel Insurance, and her staff has become a Notary Public. Under her leadership, the company also launched an Education Department approved by the Florida Department of Insurance in 2023, including pre-licensing insurance school, courses, continuing education, and mentorship programs.

Before establishing her own company, Mrs. Branham-Nelson served as the system Continuing Medical Education Coordinator at Baptist Health from 2015 to 2021. Previously, she worked as the HR Operations Manager at Cumberland Medical Center in 2015 and held positions as an HR Specialist and ACP III at Baptist Health from 2011 to 2012 and 2009 to 2011, respectively. Mrs. Branham-Nelson's career journey includes her experience as the founder and president of the Nelson and Associates Insurance Scholarship Fund, alongside her time as a teacher and a customer service manager at Walmart.

Mrs. Branham-Nelson's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industry and Technical Education from the University of Central Florida in 2018, followed by a Master of Arts in Career and Technical Education from the same institution in 2020. Additionally, she further augmented her skill set by earning a Healthcare CPD Associate Certificate, Florida Licensed Travel Insurance Agent, and Notary Public. Beyond her formal education, Mrs. Branham-Nelson attributes her success to her faith and the invaluable lessons imparted by her father, who encouraged her to be self-reliant, never give up, and complete her degree.

As a commitment to her field, Mrs. Branham-Nelson has served in several professional organizations, including her experience as a presenter for the Alabama Medical Society and the Florida Medical Association since 2016. She also contributed to the Florida Medical Association through her work on the Surveyor Pilot Program, which began in 2017. Furthermore, Mrs. Branham-Nelson holds leadership roles as chairman-elect of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce, and as a Baptist Medical Center Nassau Development Council Member. She is a member of prominent groups such as The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, The National Small Business Association Leadership Council, and the Forbes Business Council. In 2023, she announced the launch of the Nelson and Associates Insurance Mobile Office, which was designed to have the ability to reach the entire county, region, and state for those who cannot come into the office location in Fernandina Beach. This project then launched a new project that Branham-Nelson began in January 2024, "Operation Moving Hope" to raise the funds to purchase a mobile clinic for the Barnabas Center to be able to move about the county and provide medical services, food distribution, and behavioral health resources.

In addition to her industry connections, Mrs. Branham-Nelson is actively involved in civic organizations. She served as a judge for HOSA-Future Health Professionals from 2017 to 2018 and Future Business Leaders of America Annual Competition for grades 6-12, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity International, and supported local organizations such as the Barnabas Center and Micah's Place in Nassau County. Mrs. Branham-Nelson is also a dedicated donor and sponsor for various community give-back events, including her company's Annual Health and Safety Expo, and is an active participant in her local church. In addition, she led 3 Mission Trips to Indonesia in 2006, 2007, and 2008 to provide supplies and resources to the children in the orphanage after the 2004 Tsunami in Indonesia.

Mrs. Branham-Nelson's numerous contributions across her career have been recognized with several awards. She was honored with the Elite Marketplace Circle Champion Award from the Federal Marketplace in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, as well as the 40 Over 40 Award from Fernandina Beach Newsleader in 2023. Moreover, Florida Blue named her one of the top two sales agents in 2023. Mrs. Branham-Nelson's greatest pride is her team's consistent 5-star ratings on Google, reflecting their dedication to providing excellent customer service.

Beyond her primary vocation, Mrs. Branham-Nelson is also the creator and host of the podcast "Bridging the Gap," where she interviews agents and discusses trending topics from CMS and the insurance market. This initiative aims to educate the community about maintaining Health Insurance topics, questions, and answers. The podcast also features local business owners to highlight their services, underscoring Mrs. Branham-Nelson's devotion to her community.

Mrs. Branham-Nelson plans to expand her staff and introduce general insurance services at her office to serve the community better. Additionally, she intends to open the Insurance Learning Academy within her building to provide pre-licensing insurance courses, practical business skills, and professional etiquette training for high school students and adults who may be ready for a career change. Mrs. Branham-Nelson is committed to nurturing these students through valuable experience and knowledge while working on establishing a partnership program with the state of Florida to apply for state grants supporting their initiatives. Kimberly also owns Ho'ola, a health boutique that offers health and safety products. The name Hoʻōla is the Hawaiian meaning to save, heal, health, well-being, survive, and thrive.
