He also sits on the leadership team for Relias' newest compliance product suite, collaborating with product client success.
Mr. Parsons' career began in 2003 as a sponsorship account manager for the Carolina Panthers. He then transitioned to Dico Resource Management as a consultant from 2004 to 2006. Following this, he worked as a sales representative for Athlon Pharmaceuticals in Raleigh for one year before transferring to Allscripts, where he filled many roles from 2007 to 2019, such as senior enterprise executive, senior manager of professional services and senior project manager.
Later in his career, Mr. Parsons joined Medfusion Alumni from 2019 to 2020 and held the position of senior executive for growth and innovation. In the following year, he took up the position of sales director for health care systems at Mentice and subsequently served as the vice president of client success at AMC Health from 2021 to 2022.
Mr. Parsons earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and communications in 2003 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Additionally, he holds several certifications, including divemaster from PADI and project management professional from both Allscripts and the Project Management Institute.
Mr. Parsons attributes his success to his upbringing and the unwavering support of his parents. He also attributes his success later in life to his wife Erin and his Christian faith. He acknowledges that while he may not have been exceptionally skilled in any particular area, his willingness to explore new endeavors and collaborate with others has been crucial to his success. He has been recognized with the President's Club award for his many contributions to the field, but most importantly he strives to leave a lasting impact by developing others and building bridges between teams and departments.
In his personal life, Mr. Parsons enjoys traveling with his wife, scuba diving and playing a variety of sports, especially golf. He also contributes civically by running a housing ministry dedicated to assisting newly released prisoners into a more seamless transition into society. Looking ahead, he plans to continue assisting Relias with their compliance transition strategy. Balancing family commitments with career aspirations, he intends to approach future career moves strategically, ensuring that his skills are valued in any role he undertakes.
