Dr. Morris is a distinguished vascular surgeon, chief of vascular and endovascular surgery, and director of the non-invasive vascular laboratory at Saint Barnabas Health System Inc. in the Bronx, New York. His expertise spans clinical research, surgery, medical education and vascular and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Morris has been recognized throughout his career for his contributions to clinical work and medical education. Before joining his health care system, he was an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, Baystate Health, in Springfield, for 10 years beginning in 2014. Dr. Morris also held the position of associate clinical professor at the University of Toledo from 2013 to 2014 and was an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Louisville between 2010 and 2013.

Dr. Morris's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences from Cornell University in 1995 and a Doctor of Medicine from Boston University in 2000. Subsequently, he completed a research fellowship in vascular surgery and a surgical residency at the University of Massachusetts, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri. Certified in vascular surgery, Dr. Morris also holds multiple state medical licenses in the U.S., including New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Active in his professional community, Dr. Morris is a member of the American Board of Surgery Inc., the American Medical Association, and the Society of Vascular Surgery. He has also been a mentor for surgical residents since 2010, notably inspiring many to pursue careers in vascular surgery and guiding them to esteemed fellowships at institutions such as New York University, the University of Oregon, the University of California San Francisco, the Cleveland Clinic, and the Mayo Clinic. Beyond his professional contributions, Dr. Morris is actively involved in civic activities, including volunteering in local communities in Jamaica.

Dr. Morris has contributed significantly to his field and medical literature. He notably contributed to the first human clinical trial using stem cells in peripheral arterial bypass patients. He has also authored over 40 scholarly works for clinical and scientific research. Some of these articles include 'Analysis of Presentation and Outcomes in Acute Limb Ischemia Patients During COVID-19 State of Emergency,' 'Endovascular Treatment of Blunt Thoracic Aortic Injuries in Right Arch Vessel Anatomy' and 'The Progression of Billowing of Endologix AFX2® Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Device as a Precursor for the Rupture of an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.'

Dr. Morris's accolades include a Fellowship Award from the American College of Surgeons in 2014 and two Teaching Awards from the University of Massachusetts's Chan Medical School. He attributes his success to his mentors throughout his career and finds great joy in passing on the knowledge and skills that have shaped him into an accomplished surgeon.

Dedicated to establishing an outstanding vascular surgical institute in greater New York City, Dr. Morris also aims to mentor and educate future surgeons. Additionally, he plans to explore entrepreneurial ventures, utilizing his scientific expertise and business insight to generate wealth that can benefit underserved communities. Among his ambitions, Dr. Morris hopes to educate middle school students to decrease risk factors and alleviate stress within the health care system.
