A distinguished leader, Mr. Ha is recognized for his three-foot-tall robotics used in industrial research and development. He also utilizes deep learning research and development to support advanced robotic development platforms, home robots and industrial robots.
In addition to his role at Robot Wonderland, Mr. Ha is also a software development engineer in avionics frameworks. Prior, he gained valuable experience as a computer vision, speech synthesis and voice command software development engineer with leading companies, such as Google, Amazon, OpenCV, OpenAI and Open3D, among others. Notably, he worked as a senior member of the technical staff at the Intel Corporation from 2002 to 2018, where he demonstrated his expertise in research and development software, strategic planning for Design-for-Test, functional validation, device control, field-programmable gate arrays, AI machine learning, data analytics and hardware architecture. From 1991 to 2002, he served as a principal test engineer at Xircom, having commenced his career in 1987 as a design engineer at DDC Pertec Corporation. Mr. Ha participated in NASA's Mars Science Laboratory in 2009 and has contributed to major universities as a STEM intelligent robotic product supplier, including programmable drones and rover robots, since 2022.
Highly educated, Mr. Ha received a Master of Science in electronics and computer engineering from California State University, Northridge, in 1991, having previously earned a Bachelor of Science in electronics engineering in 1987. He has also been certified in computer vision, AI, machine learning, deep learning model generation, introduction to cloud identity, and programming with Python, all of which were granted by PyImageSearch. Impressively, Mr. Ha has been recognized as a senior member of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 1995.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Ha credits his passion for assisting others, undertaking projects not only for his company's benefit but also for the welfare of society at large. This altruistic approach stems from his early interest in robotics during his graduate studies, which inspired him to establish his company focused on devising robots modeled after natural designs. Although he has experienced a myriad of vocational highlights, Mr. Ha is most proud of developing an AI system to assist local and federal governments in combating fires, with a focus on locations that experience several fires on an annual basis.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Ha enjoys practicing martial arts. Looking toward the future, he is seeking funding from venture capitalists or investors to develop initiatives to positively contribute to schools and his community. He also plans to continue his community engagement by teaching and mentoring students in the areas of robotics, technology and AI, fostering their knowledge so they can contribute meaningfully to society.
