MIDLAND, MI, October 03, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mamiko Reeves, EdD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on years of professional experience, Dr. Reeves excels as the co-founder of Machi Training and Research LLC/Machi Tours, specializing in international education consulting. In this capacity, she also creates strategies for educational companies aiming to enter the U.S. market. Currently, she helps develop, train, and nurture the 2025 Osaka World Expo Youth Ambassador program as a program manager for the U.S. State Department and Sister Cities International. Previously, Dr. Reeves worked for Northwood University as an international strategist, assistant vice president of International Programs and Free Market, dean of International, and director of international education.

During the early stages of her career, Dr. Reeves honed her expertise in sales and marketing, consulting, education, and training with Sony Corporation, IR Japan, Dow Corning Corporation, Dow Chemical Corporation, and Youth for Understanding.

Dr. Reeves earned a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Nanzan University. Subsequently, she received a Master of Arts in counseling from Central Michigan University and an EdD in organizational leadership through Northeastern University. She was a licensed professional counselor through the Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association until 2012. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with several industry organizations, including the Association of International Education Administrators. In addition to her professional endeavors and affiliations, Dr. Reeves serves as a board member and advisory board for the International Institute of Management and Technology (India), Accra Business School (Ghana), Award for Training and Higher Education (UK), and the Michigan American Council of Education Women's Network (USA). She is an active Rotarian.

Due to her outstanding achievements, Dr. Reeves earned an Innovation Award from Northwood University. In recent years, she has received a Global Impact Award from Young People Travel Global Edge and a Distinguished International Fellowship Award through the African Women's Leadership Academy. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in partnerships between Northwood University and the Young Presidents World Presidents Organization, orchestrating a successful study-abroad program that received prestigious awards over several years, and collaborating with the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women, which supports female entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and Rwanda. She also cites launching the inaugural workshop for African Women's Leadership Academy as one of her career highlights.

Her hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career as an immigrant from Japan to the USA. Dr. Reeves credits her success to the global network she has established and the values instilled in her by her grandfather. Her grandfather, who drew inspiration from the code of bushido, a Japanese way of life and warrior code consisting of seven principles: courage, compassion, respect, integrity, honesty, humility, and loyalty, has been a guiding influence in her life and career. Her life-changing experience of overcoming an Autoimmune System disorder and meeting Mother Teresa at the age of 12 impacted the way she approached her life. These values and experiences developed greater empathy and understanding for people facing similar challenges. She recognizes the significance of expressing meaningful sentiments, contributing to her personal growth. Looking forward, Dr. Reeves intends to transition from full-time work in higher education to becoming an entrepreneur.
