Mr. Venugopal's career also included a notable tenure as senior engineering manager at McAfee in Santa Clara, California, from 2012 to 2021. Earlier, he was an infrastructure engineering consultant at the International Finance Corporation (part of World Bank Group) in Washington, D.C., between 2011 and 2012, where he was engaged in thought leadership for setting up a data center for the firm's field project applications. As a senior manager at SMARTBridge from 2003 to 2011, Mr. Venugopal has played a pivotal role in implementing ERP systems and back-office systems at nearly 600 Whataburger restaurants across the U.S. Mr. Venugopal was a manager at Arthur Andersen between 2001 and 2003, a senior consultant at Pro-Nexus IT Resources from 1999 to 2001 and a senior systems engineer at Business Function Library Software between 1996 and 1999.
Highly educated, Mr. Venugopal holds a Bachelor of Technology in instrumentation and control from the University of Calicut in Malappuram, India, since 1996 and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University in Tempe since 2008. Moreover, he received credentials as a project management professional in 2006 and as a certified SAFe Agilist by Scaled Agile Inc. in 2015.
Mr. Venugopal is also actively involved as a professional member of the Project Management Institute. He has also made significant contributions to community initiatives as a donor to the American Red Cross since 2016. He previously served as an incubation catalyst for North America, Argentina, China and Japan at Intel Security from 2014 to 2016.
