In addition to his current roles, Mr. Church has held several notable positions within professional organizations. He is currently the President-elect of the New York Organization for Nursing Leadership (NYONL). Before this role, he also served as the secretary and executive board member of NYONL from 2022 to 2023, and as president of the Greater New York, Nassau, Suffolk Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders region between 2019 and 2021. His earlier career includes roles such as adjunct professor at Seton Hall University from 2012 until 2014 and director of the emergency department at Hunterdon Medical Center from 2006 to 2014. He also served as the assistant vice president of trauma and emergency services at Lutheran Medical Center (now NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn) between 2000 and 2005.
His academic achievements have played a crucial part in Mr. Church's professional success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University in 1989 and a Master of Science in trauma critical care nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, in 1996. He subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey-Newark, in 2011. His certifications include being a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and Nurse Executive Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
