His career at the University of Texas saw him take on various roles, including director of practice plan billing compliance, assistant vice president, chief compliance officer, and director of the Office of Billing Compliance.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Lehnortt gained valuable professional expertise as the assistant director of government affairs for the American College of Emergency Physicians. An expert in his field, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in history from Clarion State College (now Pennsylvania Western University). Subsequently, he expanded his knowledge by completing a Master of Arts in political economy from the University of Texas at Dallas and becoming certified in health care compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association.
In conjunction with his work, Mr. Lehnortt has contributed to his community as president of the National Honor Society and as a volunteer with his local Methodist Church. Given his professional achievements, he received the Good Citizen Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in writing and teaching at the American College of Emergency Physicians. While there, he wrote a manual dealing with state legislation. Throughout his career, Mr. Lehnortt has been asked multiple times to author book chapters in prestigious publications.
Although hard work and dedication brought him far in his career, Mr. Lehnortt credits his success to his open-minded nature and consistency. In the coming years, he looks forward to retiring and pursuing more personal pursuits, including golf and spending quality time with his wife and dogs.
