Together with Congressman Lester Wolff, he supported an action to protect Long Island's eco-system and get the bill passed by both congress and senate houses. The White House renamed it the Lester Wolff Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Oyster Bay, NY.
Mr. Liu's professional efforts have resulted in a Peace Award from the congressional World Peace Prize Awarding Council (WPPAC). He credits his accomplishments to a long-standing aspiration to significantly impact society.
