Additionally, Ms. Ray regularly trains approximately 200 lenders and underwriters, ensuring the company's processes align with compliance and regulatory requirements.
Prior to her tenure at Veritex Bank, Ms. Ray served as a senior review appraiser at Wells Fargo from 2007 to 2012. In addition to her professional roles, she is a member of several industry-related organizations, including the Appraisal Institute since 1994, where she has served as past president for both the Central Texas (Fort Worth) Chapter and North Texas (Dallas) Chapter. Ms. Ray's organizational affiliations extend to her memberships in Chi Omega, the Agricultural Economics Club (Outstanding Student in 1986) and Alpha Gamma Rho Little Sisters.
Known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Ms. Ray's involvement transcends her professional life into civic associations and volunteer work. She is a member of a sisterhood known as P.E.O. that supports women's education through scholarship, grants, loans, and Cottey College. Ms. Ray also volunteers at her local church. Ms. Ray is also a sustaining member of the Junior League.
Ms. Ray's academic background includes a master's of real estate (formerly known as the land economics and real estate program) from Texas A&M University in 1987 and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from the same institution in 1986. Beyond her formal education, she has been a Certified Commercial Investment Member since 1998 and has been a Texas General State Certified Appraiser since 1990, serving as a testament to her devotion to continual occupational advancement.

She is eager to continue learning and sharing her knowledge and is contemplating teaching at a community college in the future.
