MURRELLS INLET, SC, October 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Janyce Louthain with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Janyce Louthain celebrates many years' experience in her professional network and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Louthain's dedication to public service and entrepreneurship is truly inspiring. She has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt to any task. Since 2000, she has excelled as the president of Alexie Enterprises, Inc., through which she has written and published books, newsletters, and magazine articles, including two children's books: "Ame the Elephant: Terrorized by Evil Mice" and "Tagger: Alone Along the Mystic River." She also created and published a monthly newsletter for aging Baby Boomer called Boomer-ING and a wrote column with the same name for a local newspaper. She now sells first edition books, unique fashions, collectibles, and personal items through her online stores: Amazon (amazon.com/shops/alexieinc), eBay (ebay.com/str/alexieapparel), Mercari, Poshmark, Bonanza and Etsy.

Before retiring to pursue entrepreneurship, Ms. Louthain was a management analyst and systems accountant for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service between 1982 and 2000. Previously, she honed her expertise in federal government operations as a management analyst with the Department of Veterans Affairs Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and as an adjudicator for the Indiana State Government. Throughout her government employment, Ms. Louthain gained valuable expertise in administrative decision-making, complex writing assignments, accounting, legal issues, and more. She further expanded her professional perspectives through extensive business travel.

Ms. Louthain earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University Bloomington and subsequently pursued her Master of Science degree in Public Administration through the Washington Public Affairs Center of the University of Southern California. Later in her federal career, she returned to college for an additional major in Accounting.

Ms. Louthain's professional achievements are truly impressive. She received a Public Service Award from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in 1979 for a study she presented to Congress as well as many other performance awards throughout her career. In the years following retirement, her first book was selected for the 2001 Fall Booksene 76 List by the American Booksellers Association, and she later received a Feature Writing Award from the North American Mature Publishers Association. While her career has been filled with many highlights, Ms. Louthain takes the most pride in the study she conducted to determine if the Veterans Administration Regional Office should be relocated from Juneau to Anchorage, Alaska.

Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Louthain is not resting on her laurels. Although she has 54 years of experience in government and business, she looks forward to sharing her work ethic with others.
