As the principal and shareholder at Altman, Rogers & Company in Anchorage, Alaska, she manages a team of 15 to 20 employees, oversees client relations, reviews financial statements and represents the firm at professional conferences.
Before being named to her present position in 2024, Ms. Stachow was a senior audit manager at Altman, Rogers & Company, beginning in 2009. Over the next 15 years, she honed her skills in auditing and compliance, contributing significantly to the firm's success. In 2014, Ms. Stachow briefly served as a senior staff accountant at Alaska Railroad, where she focused on financial reporting, bank and trust reconciliations, federal regulation compliance, general ledger supervision and other financial duties before returning to Altman, Rogers & Company.
Ms. Stachow's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and public administration from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, in 2009. She also garnered several certifications that have furthered her professional development, including a certified public accountant designation from the State of Alaska in 2015 and an advanced single audit certificate from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in 2016.
Throughout her career, Ms. Stachow has been an active member of several industry-related organizations. She is involved with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the AICPA and the Alaska Society of Certified Public Accountants. These memberships have provided Ms. Stachow with valuable networking opportunities and resources to stay current in her field.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Stachow is deeply committed to community service. She serves as the treasurer for the Alaska Birth Collective and volunteers with Covenant House Alaska and Special Olympics. She also held positions on the finance council and as the audit chair for the Archdiocese of Anchorage- Juneau.
