NEWNAN, GA, October 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kelvin E. Reid, chief executive officer and vice president of sales and marketing of Smart Choice Technologies, was selected by Marquis Who's Who for a prominent feature in the Atlanta, Georgia, regional edition of GQ magazine.
At the inception of his career, Kelvin E. Reid delved into the field of telecommunications, serving as a telephone technician. Introduced to the innovative technologies that resided within the industry, particularly as they allowed for opportunities to expand into unique lines of business, Mr. Reid steadily progressed through his career in roles of increasing prominence. He garnered a wealth of knowledge throughout his vocational journey and decided to establish his own business, where he could provide his services on a more personal level and care for his community. Since 2012, he has excelled as the chief executive officer, owner and vice president of sales and marketing at Smart Choice Technologies.
Impressively, Smart Choice Technologies celebrated its 10th anniversary in business in 2022, and Mr. Reid and his staff celebrated the occasion with a customer appreciation celebration event partnered with the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club. In November 2023, Smart Choice Technologies celebrated its second customer appreciation night, partnering with the same basketball club. Over the years, the business also witnessed a 15% annual growth in revenue, which continues to the present day. Adjacent to his primary vocation, Mr. Reid is a member of ASIS International and spends his leisure time volunteering with the local homeless population by feeding members of underserved communities.
Although he has experienced numerous career achievements, Mr. Reid is particularly gratified that his organization became the first Black company to have a primary contract with a general contractor at South Georgia Public Schools. In more recent years, he and Smart Choice Technologies became a minority supplier with the goal of obtaining federal minority certification. He has also partnered with several more prominent manufacturers and is moving to the high-end residential sector.
Attributing much of his success to his customer-centric approach to business, Mr. Reid is well-regarded for his enthusiasm for continued learning in his field, which has propelled him forward as an esteemed executive. Above all else, he enjoys giving back to his community and customers, placing quality service and customer satisfaction at the forefront. In the coming years, Mr. Reid aims to open additional Smart Choice Technologies locations to serve more regions.
Mr. Reid has been bestowed with several recognitions, including being named the Most Valuable Employee, the Most Improved Employee and Employee of the Year at several of his prior places of employment.
