Additionally, Dr. Wilkins actively looks for grants and funding to provide more opportunities for her students.
With a career spanning two decades, Dr. Wilkins has established herself as an expert in higher education. Before founding THRIVE Educational Services Inc. in 2021, she built a robust career in higher education in various roles. Her journey reflects a profound dedication to helping others achieve their academic goals while striving for excellence in her profession.
Dr. Wilkins's journey into the field began with a Bachelor of Social Work from Buffalo State College in 2004, followed by a Master of Social Work from the University of Buffalo in 2005. She later earned a Doctor of Education from Valdosta State University in 2022. Inspired by her mentors, Dr. Wilkins chose to pursue a career in higher education out of a love for the field and a desire to contribute to the next generation of educators.
Besides her education, Dr. Wilkins has been an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the Georgia Association of Special Programs Personnel (GASPP), Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP), the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW). These affiliations have provided her with valuable networking opportunities and resources, furthering her mission to support students in their educational pursuits.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Wilkins is deeply involved in civic activities. She volunteers with community food distribution programs and is committed to providing scholarships and school support.
