Dr. Gyarteng-Dakwa's career began with valuable medical and educational experiences on an international scale. To wit, he gained expertise as an assistant professor of anesthesia and critical care medicine at Yale University and graduated from European School of Aviation Medicine as a flight surgeon.
Dr. Gyarteng-Dakwa's journey started at the National Science College in Ghana, after which he won a government scholarship to study abroad in Europe and continued his studies at the Volgograd State Medical School in Russia, where he graduated with an MD. He furthered his studies in the United States, completing an internship through Seton Hall University's Department of Pediatrics, a fellowship through Yale University and postgraduate medical education in anesthesiology at Howard University.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Dr. Gyarteng-Dakwa aligns himself with the American Medical Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Hospital Federation, the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the North Carolina Society of Anesthesiology. Given his professional achievements, he has been featured in Millennium Magazine. Dr. Gyarteng-Dakwa's commitment to giving back extends beyond his professional and educational pursuits.
