During his tenure, he oversaw the company's growth from $4 million in sales and revenue to $200 million, leading to its acquisition by Cognizant. Before Contino, Mr. Wood was the managing director and partner at Wipro Digital between 2014 and 2019, where he played a pivotal role in establishing Build It. This startup grew into a $200 million revenue-generating company with offices in eight countries.
Mr. Wood's career also included significant roles in the banking and telecommunications sectors. From 2013 to 2014, he was an executive consultant and head of engineering transformation at Lloyds Banking Group in London, where he transformed how the largest banks in London and Europe conduct online banking. He also served as the senior director of global software development at Level 3 Communications between 2011 and 2013. Earlier, Mr. Wood was employed at British Telecommunications (BT), where he garnered success as the chief operating officer from 2005 to 2008 and as the chief information officer for innovation and application development between 2008 and 2011. During his tenure at BT, he was a co-founding member of the firm's Web21C SDK, a groundbreaking product that exposed telco service APIs to internal and third-party developers.
Mr. Wood's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of Northern Colorado in 1999 and a Master of Science in information technology from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver in 2002. He also completed executive education in sustainable business strategy at Harvard University.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Wood is actively involved in civic organizations. He has been a member of the board of advisors for DECA Inc. since 2011 and the board chair for the American Dog Society since 2023.
