She further allocated time to serving on various committees and work groups, including her present position as the Diversity and Inclusion Caucus' liaison to the Department of Veterans Affairs' I*DEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) Influencers Network. To prepare for her pronounced career, Ms. Kreitlow pursued a formal education at Quinnipiac University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in accounting and computer science in 1992. Subsequently, she attended the Quinnipiac University School of Law and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1998. Before joining the Department of Veterans Affairs, Ms. Kreitlow obtained a Master of Laws in law and government from the American University Washington College of Law in 2004. She maintained a membership with the American Bar Association, as well as Phi Delta Phi and Delta Mu Delta.
Adjacent to her primary professional activities, Ms. Kreitlow is civically engaged in her church and community. To wit, she has held varying leadership roles at her community church, such as choir director and director of the children's ministry. Moreover, Ms. Kreitlow sings in a local gospel choir sponsored by a performing arts organization, through which she has performed in venues across the metro Washington, D.C., area, including The Kennedy Center and the Music Center at Strathmore.
