Ms. Embree's career in biotech began with Lentigen Technology Inc., a Miltenyi Biotec Company, where she held various roles over an 11-year period. She started as the quality assurance and compliance manager from 2007 to 2010 before becoming the quality assurance and compliance director from 2010 to 2012. She then served as interim director of quality from 2013 to 2014 and subsequently as director of operations from 2012 to 2016. Her final role at Lentigen was director of commercial operations from 2017 to 2018. During her time at Lentigen, she played a pivotal role in expanding the company's commercial business in cell therapy products, contributing significantly to its growth into a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
Before her tenure at Lentigen, Ms. Embree worked as a quality assurance specialist II at Lonza from 2006 to 2007. She also gained valuable research experience early in her career as a research assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, from 2000 to 2002 and in research at MeadWestvaco (now WestRock) from 1994 to 2000.
Ms. Embree's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in chemical and biochemical engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she also earned her Master of Science in chemical and biochemical engineering. Her academic achievements have been instrumental in her professional success, providing a strong foundation for her expertise in program management, drug development and research and development strategy.
Throughout her career, Ms. Embree has been driven by a passion for solving complex problems and making meaningful contributions. Inspired by her high school chemistry professor who recognized her potential in engineering, she has embraced opportunities to tackle new challenges across various sectors. Despite often being one of the few females in her engineering classes, she remained undeterred by gender biases and continued to excel.
