Her work supports numerous health care services, such as emergency care, patient vitals monitoring, chronic disease management, suicide prevention, and product launching/implementation efforts through Agile Kanban methodologies. She excels in IC design and has extensive international and diverse experience. She led, managed, motivated, and facilitated over 300 Engineers between 9 multifunctional/multinational/multicultural teams for complex projects including chipset/low-level with end-to-end technical and business capabilities.
Prior to her tenure at Document Storage Systems Inc., Ms. Vu served as a business analysis consultant at FPL with The Spear Group Inc. from 2019 to 2020 after serving as a position of program manager II at Newell Brands for the preceding three years. From 2009 to 2015, she was a senior program manager at Foxconn and briefly worked as a technical project manager at Research In Motion in 2011.
Ms. Vu's earlier career includes significant roles, such as senior manager of project management at Motorola from 1999 to 2009, where she led a team to achieve substantial cost reductions and profits for the company. She was also a program manager at Tyco Electronics from 1997 to 1999, held various engineering positions at Harris Communications from 1986 to 1997, worked as a design engineering consultant and marketing application engineer at Sipex Corporation from 1985 to 1986 and was a research and development gallium arsenide design assistant at Honeywell from 1983 to 1984.
Ms. Vu's academic background is equally impressive. She earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science from Nova Southeastern University and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, completed after immigrating to the United States from Vietnam. Her certifications include mental health first aid for military, veterans and their families from Mental Health First Aid International and mental health first aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. She is also a certified SAFe 4 scrum master by Scaled Agile Inc. and a Project Management Professional.
Throughout her career, Ms. Vu has been recognized with several awards, including the White House Silver and Gold President's Volunteer Service Award in 2022 and 2024. She has further contributed to industry knowledge through her publications, such as "Choose Termination and Topology to Maximize Signal Integrity and Timing" in EDN Magazine and "Reflection of Noise-Induced Degradation" in Printed Circuit Design Magazine. She has also presented her work at various conferences.
Ms. Vu attributes much of her professional success to the unwavering support of her local community and family. Ms. Vu is the daughter of Co Huy Vu and Van Thi Nguyen. She is married to Paul Thomas Hoffman Jr. Ms. Vu has two daughters: Monica Thanh-Phuong Nguyen (EE, Full Stack Web Dev.) and Amy Minh-Thu Nguyen (Accountant, Hospitality).
