CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD, October 22, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adriane B. Gay, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Gay, a distinguished special education consultant with an MBA in business administration and management from the University of Phoenix, has dedicated her career to advocating for children with special needs and their families. With more than 15 years of experience in the field, she has established herself as an expert in special education, currently serving as the chief executive officer and founder of ABG Special Education Consulting since 2022. Her organization, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is committed to helping parents and their children navigate the complexities of the education system and empowering them to thrive.

Ms. Gay started as a pre-kindergarten lead special education teacher at Gwinnett County Public Schools from 2006 to 2012. She then transitioned to Charles Drew Charter School, where she served as a special education teacher from 2012 to 2013. Following this role, she joined Atlanta Public Schools as a special education teacher from 2013 to 2016. She continued her journey at Newton County School System as a special education teacher from 2016 to 2017 before returning to Atlanta Public Schools for another two-year tenure until 2019.

In 2019, Ms. Gay took on the role of special education teacher at Georgia Cyber Academy, where she worked until 2020. She then joined Brookhaven Innovation Academy as a special education teacher for the 2020 to 2021 school year. Subsequently, she served as a pre-kindergarten special education teacher at Fulton County Schools in 2021. She later joined the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) as a special education teacher from 2021 to 2022. She was also the founder of ABG Special Education Consulting from 2022 to present, a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit based in DC that virtually serves families with special needs kids worldwide.

Ms. Gay's educational background and certifications have significantly impacted her success. As a certified special education teacher, she has consistently prioritized the needs of children with special needs and their parents, who often face limited resources. Her passion for educating individuals with special needs stems from her experience growing up with a brother with special needs and witnessing the educational system's shortcomings in meeting his requirements.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Gay is an accomplished author with numerous publications. Her works include "Maya's Magic Mind: A Special Journey," "Adriane's Brave Adventures: Conquering Anxiety," "The Diversity Fair: Maya's Kaleidoscope of Talents," "The Graduation: Maya's Journey of Empowerment," "The Talent Search: Maya's Big Audition," "The Art of Inclusion: Maya's Mural," "The Big Game: Maya's Winning Shot," "Coping With Stress: The Impact of Stress on Special Education Students' Academic Performance: Understanding and Addressing the Issue," "Navigating Parenthood: A Guide for Parents of Special Needs Kids" and "Addressing Disproportionality in Special Education: A Parent's Guide to Advocacy," among many others.

Ms. Gay considers her dedication to helping families with children with special needs her proudest achievement. Her career reflects her lifelong commitment to making a positive impact in the field of special education.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Gay enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching movies, listening to audiobooks, and learning more about her craft. Looking ahead, she aims to accomplish ABG Special Education Consulting's primary objective of organizing specialized trips for parents with special needs children to alleviate some of their stress.
