Since 2022, she has been driving the non-linear content strategy for the MTV Entertainment Group portfolio across 30+ partners and platforms including owned-and-operated sites/apps, VOD (including YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV), TVOD, SVOD, Paramount+, and Pluto TV. In this role, Ms. Altuz oversees the representation, curation, promotion, and distribution of shows across non-linear platforms while collaborating with various teams on strategic planning to maximize the content offering and brand value. Ms. Altuz's expertise in content distribution, fan base engagement and industry trends has been instrumental in her success.
Affiliated with Paramount for over a decade, Ms. Altuz was the senior manager of multi-platform programming strategy from 2021 to 2022. Earlier in her career, Ms. Altuz was the manager of MTV and VH1 multi-platform programming and an associate producer for VH1 multi-platform production and programming. She began her professional journey as a freelance production assistant for VH1 digital shows in 2012.
While in college, Ms. Altuz gained experience in various roles, such as music director for WMAR Marist College Radio and co-news director for Marist College Television. These foundational experiences set the stage for future success in the industry.
Ms. Altuz's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a focus on radio/television/film production and Spanish from Marist College in 2012 where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Her education and experiences in and out of the classroom laid a strong foundation for her career, equipping her with the skills necessary to excel in the dynamic field of media and entertainment. Moreover, Ms. Altuz holds a professional credential from Paramount in leadership and a group fitness instructor license from POUND® - Rockout. Workout.
Aside from her full-time engagements, Ms. Altuz is active with the Television Academy as a member of the Television Executives peer group and with the Girl Scouts of Nassau County as a Gold Award Mentor. Additionally, she is a Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts of America and a member of Lambda Pi Eta (Upsilon Chapter), the Official Honor Society of Communication Studies of the National Communications Association (NCA).
Among various accomplishments, Ms. Altuz is a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient which is the highest and most prestigious award in Girl Scouting, comparable to the Boy Scouts of America's Eagle Scout merit. In 2022 she was a panelist for "Girl Scouts of Nassau County: Unapologetically Fearless Since 1912" and was a Shero honoree and panelist for Paramount Media Networks and MTVE Studios Culture Club in 2023.
