In this capacity, she managed payroll, finances, budgeting, marketing and project management. Her experience in financial services provided her with a robust foundation in business operations, which she now applies in her role at the Pneuma Christian Academy.
From 2007 to 2009, Ms. Ruiz worked as a business consultant. During this period, she honed her skills in advising businesses on improving their operations and strategies. Earlier in her career, Ms. Ruiz was a command language program manager for the U.S. Marine Corps's Company H MCSB between 2002 and 2004.
Ms. Ruiz's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1998 and a Master of Science in human resource development in 2007 from Florida International University. Her education has been pivotal in shaping her approach to leadership and management.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Ruiz is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, such as Hope for Miami and The Children's Trust. These associations have allowed her to contribute to community service efforts and support for children and families in need.
Ms. Ruiz was decorated with a Commendation Medal from the U.S. Marine Corps. Her success is deeply rooted in the values instilled by her parents, who were refugees from Cuba in the early 1960s.
