Born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, Dr. Goulden's academic journey began with his medical training at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, where he earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1995. He completed a year-long internship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and residency training in Birmingham. Dr. Goulden's specialization in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism was further honed through fellowship training in London, culminating in 2006. Additionally, Dr. Goulden conducted two years of research at the Medical Research Council in England.
