Mr. Ross's expertise extended beyond pharmaceuticals, encompassing marketing and sales roles in various sectors such as health care services, food and nutrition, advertising, and biometric testing.
Among numerous notable roles, Mr. Ross was a senior director and executive director for Merck between 1988 and 1994. In addition, he was a managing director for MSD New Zealand from 1994 to 1997, where he played a pivotal role in product launches and industry association leadership. He continued at Merck with numerous progressive roles, beginning in 1997 as the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Specialty Products, in 1999 as Vice President of Marketing in the Merck Vaccine Division, and concluding his career with Wyeth as Assistant Vice President of Marketing for U.S. Vaccines between 2009 and 2010. Mr. Ross also gained experience at Martek Biosciences as a Vice President of Marketing and Sales from 2004 to 2005, and as a Senior Vice President at the GSW ad agency between 2010 and 2011.
In addition to these positions, Mr. Ross served as the principal of Vaccine Marketing Services, where he leveraged his extensive knowledge of vaccine marketing strategies as a consultant from 2011 to 2016. Moreover, between 2017 and 2021, he shared his expertise as an independent consultant in vaccines and health care. Most recently, Mr. Ross served as a National Account Consultant for Impact Health Biometric Testing from 2019 to 2020.
Mr. Ross's academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Public Health from Michigan State University in 1978 and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from Purdue University in 1979.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Ross has been actively involved with organizations such as the Doylestown Public Library and St. Johns Public Library, the latter of which he currently serves as the Vice President of the Friends of the St. Johns Library. These roles, in addition to his volunteer work at several library and senior living facilities, reflect his ongoing commitment to community engagement.
David has been married to his wife Cyndi for over 30 years. They have twin sons Michael and Jeremy, who were born while the family was living in New Zealand.
