Prior to founding EEDAS PLLC, Mr. Badruzzaman served as a project manager and lead consulting engineer at Siemens in Raleigh from 2017 to 2019. In 2015, he held the position of manager of structural and geotechnical engineering at Strata Clean Energy in Chapel Hill. From 2015 to 2017. Mr. Badruzzaman was a senior structural engineer at Hatch. From 2008 to 2015, where he also contributed to AP1000 Nuclear Plant Design Team of Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry, Pennsylvania, from 2013 to 2014.
Mr. Badruzzaman's early career included working as a geotechnical engineer at Converse Consultants in Whippany, New Jersey, from 2005 to 2008 and as a structural engineer at Hirani Group in Mineola, New York, from 2004 to 2005. Prior to moving to the United States, he began his career as a structural engineer at Hivetech Ltd. in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 2000 to 2001.
Academically, Mr. Badruzzaman holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), which he earned in 2000. He then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada, completing it in 2004. Additionally, Mr. Badruzzaman completed a diploma in Construction Management (CM) from North Carolina State University and attained certifications as a professional engineer (PE) in 17+ states and project management professional (PMP). He published more than half dozen (6+) publications in prominent international journals during his educational and work career and couple of journals are in progress based on new contributions in the engineering & construction industry.
Deeply devoted to his field, Mr. Badruzzaman is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), where he has been involved since 2008, as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Project Management Institute Inc (PMI). In addition to his professional commitments, he is deeply engaged in civic activities, serving as a former executive board member of the Triangle Bangladesh Society of North Carolina (TBSNC) in 2016. Now he is pursuing for multiple board positions in start-up and well reputed companies where he can provide the business strategy and development advice based on his business and project management experience.
In his personal life, Mr. Badruzzaman enjoys playing badminton, cricket and soccer and is passionate about mentoring younger individuals.
