His foundational experiences include his role as the taxation manager (head of tax) at Moorman Manufacturing Corporation in Quincy, Illinois, from 1994 to 1996 and as the senior tax administrator at Federated Department Stores between 1988 and 1992. As a dedicated member of his community, Mr. Hainkel has been involved with various organizations, including as the Houston Harris County treasurer of the Red Cross Youth of the American Red Cross. Mr. Hainkel prepared for his career by obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 1978 and a Master of Science in Accountancy with a focus on taxation in 1979 from the University of Houston. He was elected into Sigma Nu during his undergraduate studies.
