During his tenure as a Staff Attorney at Staples, Inc., Mr. Scacco has displayed his communication skills and legal knowledge to senior directors, vice presidents, and senior vice presidents by summarizing key legal concepts and providing risk analysis within pending agreements.
Before joining Staples, Inc., Mr. Scacco was a Senior Procurement Consultant at CVS Health in Rhode Island from 2020 to 2022. In this role, he honed his skills in contract negotiation and procurement strategies. Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Scacco garnered experience as a legal research assistant at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation between 2018 and 2020, where he conducted extensive legal research to support various departmental initiatives.
Having grown up in Scituate, Rhode Island, he was immersed in various volunteer community activities, Mr. Scacco became acutely aware of his calling to give back to the community that helped shape his work ethic. It was through these experiences that Mr. Scacco was inspired to run for a seat on the Scituate School Committee, despite his young age. In November 2016, Mr. Scacco was elected to serve as a school committee member for the Town of Scituate, making him one of the youngest elected officials in the town's history. Among his other accomplishments while elected, he played a pivotal role in introducing the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) curriculum into the school district.
Before earning his law degree, Mr. Scacco worked as an extern in the Strategic Procurement Department at CVS Health in 2019. He was also a Legal Intern for the Rhode Island Department of Administration in Providence in 2017 and a Legal Studies Intern with the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office in Warwick in 2016.
Mr. Scacco graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and legal studies, magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University, in 2017 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Roger Williams School of Law in 2020. Simultaneously, while being involved in his hometown community, Mr. Scacco was an active member in Roger Williams School of Law's community. He was not only part of the Moot Court Executive board, but also worked in the law school library, served as a Kaplan student representative, and was elected amongst his peers as the most supportive student in his class. Mr. Scacco thanks his parents, grandparents, great aunt and uncle, and his godfather for serving as positive role models and providing the support system he needed to make the decision to pursue a legal career.
Mr. Scacco maintains his hometown influence by serving as the Vice President of the Scituate Youth Soccer Association. He is also a founding member of the Scituate Alumni Association, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement.
