Earlier in her career, Dr. Menon excelled as a research intern at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2007 to 2008 and an admission assistant at Enbee Education Center Private Limited from 2006 to 2007.

Dr. Menon's academic achievements include a bachelor's degree in zoology, animal biology, botany and chemistry from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, which she finished in 2004 before pursuing graduate studies. She now proudly holds a master's degree in microbiology and immunology from the same institution, completed in 2006, and Dr. Menon earned a Doctor of Philosophy in biological science and chemistry from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2013, where she also thrived as a graduate teaching assistant from 2010 to 2013.

Comprehensive expertise across diverse platforms enables Dr. Menon to make meaningful contributions in areas such as pharmaceutical formulation, cellular immunology, immuno-oncology, cell signaling, molecular biology and immunotoxicity studies. She also participates in drug toxicity studies and excels at data analysis and interpretation. Additionally, Dr. Menon has obtained distinct industry credentials, including FDA GLP, 21CFR58 certification and pharmaceuticals FDA-cGMP training.

A dedication to scholarship further defines Dr. Menon's presence in her field, and her contributions to the scientific literature are notable. She authored "Ion Channel and Structural Remodeling in Obesity: Mediated Atrial Fibrillation," published in Circ Arrhythm Electrophysiol in 2020, and "Association Between Obesity-Mediated Atrial Fibrillation and Therapy With Sodium Channel Blocker Antiarrhythmic Drugs," which JAMA Cardiology published in 2019. Additionally, Dr. Menon contributed to "A Potent and Selective Small Molecule Inhibitor for the Lymphoid-Specific Tyrosine Phosphatase," published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry in 2013, among other articles.

Dr. Menon is an active member of several industry-related organizations including the American Heart Association and the Mastocytosis Society, and Dr. Menon is proud to have been associated with the European Mast Cell and Basophil Research Network-COST from 2010 to 2013 and SPP MASTZELL from 2010 to 2013.

Dr. Menon has received several accolades throughout her career including the NIH-T32 GRANT Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Institute of Health in 2018 and the CCVR Young Investigator Award from UIC Center for Cardiovascular Research, also in 2018. Dr. Menon attributes her success to versatility and adaptability, as well as persistence in achieving her objectives.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Menon is dedicated to civic engagement and volunteered at Shree Sayaji General Hospital from 2002 to 2006, a period in which she also helped coordinate food drives at St Basil's Church. She is a devoted mother to two children and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
