MORRISTOWN, TN, November 06, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Giancarlo Paolillo has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Paolillo is lauded for his robust career in technology and engineering. Since 2024, he has been the co-founder and chief technology officer of Aegis Tech Ventures LLC, an innovative artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud development solutions software development company. In addition to these two ventures, Mr. Paolillo launched the Watch Our Own application in 2020 as the chief executive officer. His inspiration for the company came from his experience caring for his mother and children. Watch Our Own enables clients to manage caregiving tasks through innovative technology solutions. The application offers various features, including the ability to create a group, manage health information, schedule reminders, create tasks and more. Mr. Paolillo has served as the company's chief information officer since 2020.

At HSBC, he served as Senior VP of engineering and cybersecurity and later the head of emerging technologies. There were many solutions created as "Lego Blocks". One example of this type of solution was when the company needed a secure, scalable financial gateway for H&R block through Household Finance. This was achieved in 2 weeks just as his second son was born. That portal and processing pushes over a billion dollars worth of tax refunds, designed with full redundancy and monitoring including an event engine to catch failed transactions and recover. This was a large effort to migrate from SNA to IP and the first time the bank experienced 100% uptime for this process.
In 2003, Mr. Paolillo joined Bank of America Corporation as the vice president of the engineering group. He oversaw the Fleet merger, integrating 110,000 associates into a workforce of 230,000 overnight. He also consolidated the technology infrastructure into a single platform, establishing three significant footprints for the bank. Mr. Paolillo then joined Vonage, serving as senior vice president of engineering and security from 2004 to 2006, where he was instrumental in helping grow their subscriber base from 50,000 to 2.5 million in under three years. Additionally, he held leadership roles at X+1, Secure Internet Solutions, ACN Opportunity LLC and YipTV between 2006 and 2024.
Mr. Paolillo holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, since 1988. He remains active through membership with professional organizations such as the Caregivers Association and the Family Caregiver Alliance. Civically, Mr. Paolillo plans to become more involved in civic initiatives in retirement, including volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Paolillo has been recognized throughout his career with several awards, including the CIO Award, introduction to Lego block design while at Household International and the Most Impact Award from Bank of America Corporation. He attributes his success to "changing the culture first. Mr. Paolillo's experience has proven that relentless dedication to achieving goals is easier when you change the culture so that everyone sees and values the same goals. He has shown that mountains can be moved when working in the same direction.
As he prepares for future opportunities, Mr. Paolillo aims for Watch Our Own to partner with organizations like Care Action Network and AARP, become promoted in the Medicare and Medicaid systems and become available to anyone under those programs. His vision for the organization reflects his desire to support caregivers by offering practical solutions that enhance their ability to care for loved ones effectively. Additionally, through Aegis Tech Ventures, Mr. Paolillo plans to continue to consult with individuals with security clearance to help small companies reach their goals.
