Throughout her career, Ms. Mullins has been recognized for various significant achievements. She is particularly proud of recruiting one of the fastest built projects in Georgia, a unique endeavor that demanded her team's full attention. Furthermore, within six months, Ms. Mullins successfully landed three new significant industries in Metter, Georgia. A notable accomplishment for the area, she recruited 550 new skilled labor jobs and secured over $100 million in capital investment. Her expertise in industrial land and retail recruitment has earned her recognition as one of the top professionals in her field.
Ms. Mullins, now President/CEO, has served as the Executive Director for the Candler County Industrial Authority from 2019 to 2023. She also served as the executive director of the Development Authority of Banks County between 2017 and 2019 after holding the same title at the Candler County Industrial Authority from 2014 to 2016.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Mullins found success as the economic development director at Washington-Wilkes Payroll Development Authority between 2013 and 2014 and was an employment specialist at Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency from 2012 to 2013. She began her career as a real estate and economic development manager at M&M Contracting of Jasper Inc., where she worked between 1997 and 2009.
In preparation for her future, Ms. Mullins received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in 2006 and a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University in 2012.
Ms. Mullins's involvement extends beyond her professional duties. She is a board member of Metter College & Career Academy and Metter-Candler Chamber of Commerce. She is also a resource partner at Georgia Grown Innovation Center and participates in Candler Youth Leadership. Additionally, Ms. Mullins is a mentor, instructor and board member of FLEX, an entrepreneurship competition for high school students. She also serves as COO of The Swish System, Inc., a non-profit created and run by her 15-year old son.
In 2024, the Southern Economic Development Council recognized Ms. Mullins for her contributions to economic development with the Community Economic Development Award for Population Category. Due to such a strong, economic development collaboration with the Georgia Grown Innovation Center and the Metter-Candler Chamber of Commerce, the community was awarded "Rural Community of the Year" from the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Candler County Industrial Authority recently won Georgia Economic Developers Association's Deal of the Year award for landing DAS North America. Candler County was also ranked #6 in the United States for Top Economic Performance per Capita by Site Selection Magazine, which is quite an accomplishment as the top three of those were metro counties whom Candler would never stand a chance against due to proximity and location.
Ms. Mullins attributes much of her success to having good partners who share her mindset and goals and her private sector background, which provided her with solid negotiation skills and instincts.
