Mr. Baggs' career also includes serving as a board member for American Commercial Barge Line from 1998 to 2002. Under his leadership and direction, CSX Corporation's investor relations program was ranked among the best in the transportation sector between 2011 and 2018 by Institutional Investor Magazine, including being ranked first in the sector and a Most Honored Company from 2014 to 2018. The University of Arizona also honored him with its Professional Achievement Award in 2017.

Mr. Baggs' academic background laid a strong foundation for his successful career. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in corporate finance and general business from the University of Arizona in 1981 and a Master of Business Administration in corporate finance from William & Mary in 1985. His educational achievements have been instrumental in shaping his expertise and accomplishments in finance.

Mr. Baggs attributes his success to the influence of specific individuals and his upbringing in a family dedicated to service. His mother served as a minister, and his father was a surgeon in the military, instilling in him a profound commitment to making a difference. He served as a board member for the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity from 2018 to 2020 and the American National Red Cross North Florida Region from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, he was a member of the finance advisory board for the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona from 2012 to 2023.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Baggs enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing various racquet sports, and traveling throughout the country and abroad.
